About Us
The Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research Foundation is a 501 3(c) non-profit corporation that raises funds for the sea turtle conservation and research conducted by the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research (www.tamug.edu/GulfCenterforSeaTurtleResearch).
Mission
Our mission is to facilitate sea turtle conservation and research programs that ultimately result in the restoration of sea turtle populations and protect vital sea turtle habitats

President of the Board
Christopher Marshall, Ph.D.
Dr. Marshall is a marine biologist and Director of the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research, he is a Professor in the Department of Marine Biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston. Dr. Marshall’s sea turtle experience extends back 20+ years and includes work in Florida, Mexico, Japan, and Qatar. His experience includes nesting beaches, in-water capture, and work with captive sea turtles.

Mr. Oliver brings his financial expertise of 20+ years as well as his passion for the marine environment to the foundation
Jennifer Dupont, Ph.D. Marine Biologist with experience at ExxonMobil and XTO Energy in environmental R&D and environmental impact assessment.
Dr. Dupont brings her expertise in science and industry related to marine biology and marine environmental issues as well as extensive management experience to the Foundation
Les Parlette MBA, Asset Management, Strategic Planning, Business Development
Mr. Parlette brings his 25+ years of business administration experience and passion for the sea turtles and the marine environment to the Foundation
